I really wish there was a way to mute the acoustic heads when triggering the samples. I have edrum kits and acoustic kits and love playing both but much prefer playing real acoustic drums in songs that call for them (rather than triggering samples of acoustic drums) and just using the triggers for non-acoustic samples. Yet to find a solution to this that doesn’t involve either setting up a huge kit involving both acoustic drum and edrums or an spd-sx.

6:09 its the fact when 7s graduate to 8. they get a new line to the beam. same w like 15ths n 16ths. 15ths are just written like 8ths (one lined beam) but sound almost like sloppy 16ths

I'm a total noob, but I think I know what you mean by the 3rd, "undisclosed" time signature in your head, because that's how my first experience with this felt like, today. I've been trying to play 4 with the left hand and 3 with the right one (did I already mention that I'm a total noob? ^^), and first, I started with a logical approach: try 4 / left until my arm got enough muscle memory to play without the brain (that was my hope), so I can then focus on the right arm to spread 3 in the same bar. Well, turns out a logical approach wouldn't work for me. Then I turned on a metronome app and gave the 4-beats a louder sound than the 3 ones and I heard this ba bada ba daba "melody" which I was able to play and it was so much easier than approaching this with what I thought was logic.

Thank you for bringing awarenss of hearing loss. As someone who was in band for saxophone and clarinet, and also picked up violin later on, I have developed tinnitus to say the least.

I was checking out the EAD10 for mainly drum monitoring purposes when someone attended me to this. It seems they found a new way of positional sensing bypassing some well known brands with their expensive modules and pads, and went a few steps further into the future. Are there enough acoustic drum presets to lay down on a kit to make it realistic to begin with? Great review btw.
